Why Honored: King was starting quarterback for Howard Payne after redshirting his freshman year. In 2001, he was named the American Southwest Conference Freshman of the Year.
In his senior year, King finished the season with a nation's best 3,680 yards of total offense. King threw for over 300 yards in a single game 14 times in his career.
