Amarillo High Volleyball 1994 Team

The 1994 Lady Sandies won the schools second volleyball state championship when they defeated Houston Cypress Creek in the finals. The Lady Sandies, coached by Jan Barker, lost the first set 10-15. They came back to win the next two, and ultimately the gold, with scores of 15-5 and 15-13.

Amarillo High Volleyball 2006 Team

2006 saw the Lady Sandies heading back to the state championship, eventually bringing home another title for AHS. The Lady Sandies ended with a record of 45-1 and the schools 5th State Championship - the most of any 5A school at the time.

Amarillo High Volleyball 2007 Team

The Lady Sandies did it again in 2007, earning a back-to-back state championship, making 6 for the school overall. That season, AHS ended with a 46-1 record. This was the first 5A back-to-back state championship since 1984.

Amarillo High Volleyball 2008 Team

2008 was no different for the Lady Sandies, bringing home their third consecutive, and seventh overall, state championship. The Lady Sandies boasted a 48-3 record.

Amarillo High Volleyball 2009 Team

The Lady Sandies continued to be a powerhouse in the world of high school volleyball, bringing home their fourth consecutive state championship with a record of 48-3. This brought AHS to 8 state titles overall.
