Why Honored: Williams earned state titles in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles during the 2003 season. In the following season, Williams defended both her titles and also picked up a gold medal in the 200 meters. She set records in both the 100m hurdles with a time of 14:27 and the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.97.
Williams continued her career at the University of Texas.
