Bob Kitchens - West Texas State
Why Honored: Kitchens spent a decade coaching both the Buffs track and cross country programs. During that time, Kitchens led his team to the 1978 and 1979 Missouri Valley Conference men's indoor championship, where they were runner-up both years, and the 1978 MVC men's outdoor championship, where they also placed 2nd.
Kitchens coached 6 NCAA All-American athletes and 7 United States Track & Field Federation All-Americans. He also coached 70 individual champions in the MVC.
Kitchens was selected as the MVC Cross Country Coach of the Year in 1977 and the MVC Track Coach of the Year in 1979.
