Boston Hudson - basketball coach of the year 2021 & 2022

Boston Hudson - Clarendon High School

Why Honored: Hudson, only 25 years old and in his first year as head coach for Clarendon, led his team to a historic season in 2021. The Broncos ended the season with an overall record of 26-4. After defeating Lipan 68-47 in the semifinals, Hudson and his team earned their spot in the championship game. They would go on to defeat Grapeland 64-60, after scoring the final five points with only 35 seconds left, to win the Class 2A State Championship title. 

2022 was another outstanding season for Hudson and his team. The Broncos entered the title game as underdogs, facing undefeated Lipan. While Hudson's team came into the second half down 24-16, they fought back to an exciting victory eventually outscoring the Indians 49-27.
