Brenda Moore - track and field athlete of the year 1984
Brenda Moore - Amarillo High Track
Why Honored: Moore competed in many different events among the high school track division. She brought home many titles for the Lady Sandies and set an Amarillo area record in the 800, running it in 2:12.20.
After she graduated from Amarillo High, Moore continued her career with Florida State University. In 1985, she placed fifth in the 4x800 meter relay at the NCAA national level.
