Carmen Wynn - Amarillo High and Wayland Baptist

Why Honored: Wynn played three varsity basketball seasons at Amarillo High, leading the Sandies to a record of 77-5 and a spot in the state 5A tournament in 1982.

After high school, Wynn signed with Wayland. In her four seasons, the 6-foot post helped the team rack up a record of 113-23, including a run to the national NAIA finals in 1987. She scored 2,310 points to rank No. 3 on the all-time Wayland list and earned Kodak All-American honors twice. Wynn earned NAIA and American Women’s Sports Federation All-American laurels three times. She still holds the WBU records for most free throws attempted and made (452-720) in a career. 

For 20 years, she held the Pioneers’ career scoring mark of 2,015.
