Why Honored: Brown served on the coaching staff of the Amarillo Dillas for 6 years. 4 of those, 1994-1997, were spent as the team's pitching coach. From 1998-2000, Brown was the club's manager.
Before joining the coaching staff, Brown was a star-pitcher for the local Amarillo Dillas team.
