Why Honored: Carthel led the Buffs to their most successful season yet in 2012, making it to the NCAA Division II semifinals for the first time in school history. The Buffs ended their season 12-3.
Carthel also scored a historic win on September 15th, when WT beat Texas A&M Kingsville, making Carthel the winningest coach in school history.
