Why Honored: Flowers has been leading the Buffs track and field as head coach since 2007. In that time, Flowers has compiled a record with over 5 LSC Track & Field Conference Championships.
Flowers has also coached over 85 All-American athletes during his time at WTAMU and over 100 individual/event LSC Champions.
Flowers has been honored as the LSC Coach of the Year over ten times.
Quotable: It's really special when you look back at what we accomplished at WT and the past 10 years. Especially winning that women's national title. The PSHOF choosing me is always a great honor, especially since I'm not there anymore. Winning that national title last year was amazing because I knew we had a chance. We placed fifth indoor so I knew we could make a run. I felt like we had all the pieces to in all the right places but we needed some luck too. Our team did what they needed to and competed."
