Leslie Weston - Canyon Softball
Why Honored: Weston was a standout softball player out of Canyon High School. She was a three-time team MVP and the District MVP twice. She received all-district first team honors in each of her four seasons.
In 2003, during Weston's junior year, she returned to the sport two and a half months after open heart surgery. She finished the final six games of the regular season and led the Lady Eagles into post-season play.
She received the Canyon High School Fighting Heart Award and went on to continue her softball career in college.
