Why Honored: Thomas began his NFL career in 1996, and played until 2009. Before that, he played for Texas Tech.
His last season with the Raiders, 1995, Thomas was honored on multiple levels. He was named the SWC Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, a unanimous first-team All-American, and First-team All-SWC.
