Lo Van Pham - NFL Field Official

Why Honored: Pham, a graduate of Palo Duro, has quite the story. A refugee arriving in Amarillo as a young boy with his parents, he learned U.S. sports by playing with Kids, Inc. He fell in love with football and has made a name for himself as a referee.

Pham started out officiating Class 1A football games for the Amarillo chapter, eventually moving on to Division II and Big 12 games. He would go on to officiate in the NFL, becoming the first Asian-American referee in league history.
