Why Honored: While coaching at Nazareth, Lombard coached the Nazareth girls' to six state championship teams.
Even compared to the rest of Lombard's monumental career, 2017 was special for him and the Lady Eagles. They were playing for a fourth straight state championship.
During the final game, the Lady Eagles fell behind Mansfield Timberview by 12 points. Canyon came back to score the final 5 points of the game for a 47-45 victory.
