Why Honored: Fender served as a consistent scorer for the Buffs throughout his career at WT. In his senior season, Fender set a new SSC record for goals in a match when he scored 4 goals against Missouri Southern State University in 2005. That record was not only the most in SSC history, but also tied as a WT record.
Fender had the opportunity to continue his soccer career when he was drafted by Houston in the 2006 Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft.
