Josh Zavala - Tascosa & University of Texas
Why Honored: Zavala has had a successful tennis career throughout high school and college. In high school, Zavala was a two-time Texas 5A Singles State Champion for Tascosa High. He is also a two-time National Open singles champion and four-time National Open doubles champion.
Zavala continued his career at University of Texas. His freshman year, Zavala earned a bid to compete at the 32-team doubles draw at the NCAA Championship. Zavala continued to find success with the Longhorns, being named to the NCAA All-Tournament Doubles Team during the 2007-2008 season and totaling a 38-9 overall doubles record his junior season.
