Why Honored: Compton was an exceptional player for the Buffs. In 1986, he led the team with 783 rushing yards, was second in pass receptions with 43 and scoring with 80 points, and was third in receiving yards with 447.
Compton was inducted into the West Texas A&M Hall of Champions in 2003.
