Why Honored: Plunk and the Rebels accomplished something truly memorable during the 2018 season. They earned themselves a spot in the UIL Class 6A state semifinal. It was the first time the Rebels made it to the semifinal round since 1964.
While Plunk and his team fell to the eventual state champion by a mere 3 points, he and the Rebels showed they are a true force to be reckoned with, even in the state's largest classification.
Plunk led his team to an impressive record of 11-4 overall and a district record of 4-1.
