Kevin Richardson - Canadian

Why Honored: During the 2016-2017 season, Richardson led the Lady Cats to the programs first ever state championship. The Lady Cats beat Buffalo 51-49 to earn the title, ending the season with an overall record of 33-3.

Richardson has coached at Canadian for over 15 years, compiling a record with over 500 wins. He has led the Lady Cats to the regional tournament seven times and the state tournament twice.

Quotable: "It was a story book type of year for us. We had a great team and we put it all together at the right time. I think the other part is, we had phenomenal players. We never had a bad practice and that translated into a lot of wins especially in the playoffs. I think it's an awesome deal to be recognized for this award and to share this with three friends. I respect them as coaches. I respect how they carry themselves and how they run their teams. I can't imagine three better guys in this business. I've been lucky to be around them."
