Why Honored: Kirkland played for the Lady Raiders from 1989-1993. She was a key component on the 1993 national title team.
Kirkland played 126 games at Texas Tech, starting the final 96 of those. She finished her career as Texas Tech's and the Southwest Conference's all-time leader in three-point field goals made with 220 and attempted with 528. Both those records now sit third at Texas Tech. She also currently sits second on Tech's all-time career list for assists with 553.
