Lauren Simpson - Canyon
Why Honored: Simpson is one of the most decorated champions in Texas high school athletics history. She is a four-time state champion in the 800 meters and holds school records in the 800m, 1,600m, and 4x400-meter relay. She also holds the Region 1-3A 800m record.
During her senior season, Simpson was named the Texas All-Star team and earned region athlete of the year honors.
Simpson continued her track career at Baylor University.
