MARK JONES - BASEBALL COACH OF THE YEAR 2006

Mark Jones - West Texas A&M University

Why Honored: Jones led the WT baseball team for nine years, serving as head coach from 1999-2008, serving as assistant coach for five years prior to that.

While at WT, Jones amassed over 175 wins, including a 31-17 record during the 2002 season.

Jones earned the honor of Lone Star Conference South Division Coach of the Year following the 2006 season. That same year, he led the Buffs to their first ever LSC Tournament appearance.
