Morgan Ashmore - Spearman
Why Honored: Ashmore played all four years at Spearman. Despite injuring her hand at a tournament, Ashmore returned to lead the Lynxettes to the District 1-2A Championship. She was honored as the district's co-MVP. Spearman reached the Region I-2A semifinals. Following that season, Ashmore was named the Globe-News Super Team Player of the Year.
Now Ashmore plays at Tarleton State. She has started 13 games as a freshman and is second in the conference with 3.6 assists per game.
Quotable: "I was scared for how everything was going to turn out after an injury because you never know how things are going to be after you're hurt. I was proud of how my team held everything together before I came back. It was about doing what I needed to do. I was glad I was able to do my job at the end of the season."
