Shannon Stroud - Amarillo High and West Texas A&M University
Why Honored: While at Amarillo High, Stroud helped lead the 1998 Lady Sandies to a 39-0 record and brought home the Class 5A State Championship.
Stroud started at WT in 1999 and the team went 36-2 her freshman season, advancing to the Elite Eight semifinals.
At the end of her four-year career, Stroud had won four consecutive Lone Star Conference Championships, made the regional tournament three times, and made it to the Elite Eight three times.
She ended with a career record of 136-10 at WT and was the third all-time WT career holder in kills with 1,949, digs with 1,801, and ranks among NCAA Division II leaders in career digs.
