Sonja Hutcherson - Memphis
Why Honored: Hutcherson is one of the best tennis players to come out of Memphis High School. She accomplished a feat four times that most athletes do not even accomplish once. She earned a State Championship title all four years of her high school career.
From 1977 to 1980, Hutcherson brought home a UIL 1A Girls Singles State Championship every year. She is the only athlete out of Memphis to ever win a gold medal in girls singles.
