The 2008 Season

Registration forms will be delivered to the schools for the 2008 Spring Soccer season on Friday, March 28.  Online registration will begin at that time as well.

The Kids, Incorporated spring soccer program is open to children ages 4 through fifth grade.  In order to participate, a child must turn four (4) years of age on or before the first day of league play (May 17, 2008).

The season consists of eight (8) league games that are played in city parks on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons.

League play begins May 17 and runs until June 22.  The program fee for the Kids, Incorporated spring soccer program is $43 and includes:

  • a game shirt for the player to keep
  • paid officials
  • a 5 x 7 team photo (ask for details)
  • a year-end individual award
All age groups use a 5 v 5 format, with one of the five players designated as the goalie.  The recommended minimum number of players per team is seven (7) and the recommended maximum is ten (10).

Teams containing children ages 4 through first grade can be girls, boys and/or coed teams.  The overwhelming majority of teams for these age groups is coed.  Teams in grades 2-5 will consist of all boys or all girls.

NOTE TO PARENTS:  While not absolutely mandatory, Kids, Incorporated highly encourages parents to equip their children with shin guards for soccer play.  Shin guards will provide additional protection and can be purchased locally at Buck Sporting Goods, Academy, Wal Mart, etc..  Basic shin guards will vary in price from $4 to $12 depending on size and style.

Communication Is Critical

If you have not heard from a coach on or before Monday, May 5, 2008, we recommend that you contact our office to check on the status of your child's registration form.

It could be that we do not have sufficient interest to form a team at your child's school for her/his particular grade.  There is always a possibility that we could be facing a shortage of volunteer coaches.

In either case, we ask parents to maintain communication with our office once we reach May 5, 2008, and do so until your child has been placed on a team.

Payment Instructions

Please do not send money to the school.  Once your child has been placed on a team, a coach will contact you and will ask to collect the program fees from each team member.  The coach will submit the team roster and program fees at one time.

If you prefer to pay in person, you may do so after your coach has submitted the team roster.  This way, we will know who your child's coach will be and we will have the team roster in our office for recording your payment.
