Barbara Palmer
Development & Marketing Assistant

Barbara joined the Kids, Incorporated staff in July of 1999.  She grew up in Perryton, Texas, and graduated high school there.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications & English in 1978, and her Masters of Arts degree in Communications & English in 1981, both from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

Barbara currently serves as the Development & Marketing Assistant.  She works directly with donor development and also assists with the coordination of the organization's special events. She also assists in the preparation of written communication and printed publications for the organization.

Barbara is responsible for performing criminal background checks on all volunteers and professional staff.  She also coordinates the financial assistance program, and forms teams in the Tascosa cluster of Amarillo ISD.

Barbara has one daughter, Anna, a beagle named Sophie, and two cats, Pitter and Patter.  She enjoys music and dancing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.  Her favorite food is green chili cheeseburgers and fries, and she loves the movie Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino.
