Tommy Willis - Tascosa

Why Honored: Tascosa had one of its most successful seasons in recent memory under the leadership of Willis. The Rebels won the title in the rugged nine-team, spread out District 2-5A and won in the bidistrict playoff round. 

The Rebels and Willis earned a spot in the area round of playoffs, a feat not accomplished by Tascosa since 1999. They finished their season with an impressive record of 16-3-5.

Quotable: "For me, the thing I noticed was that there was a bunch of guys who if they came together, they'd be successful. The biggest thing I saw was the level of competition during games and practice was very high. It was a goal of those guys to win district, and they got to reach it. It was real fun for me to see it."
