The 2008 Season
The Kids, Incorporated
Track program is open to boys girls
age four (4) through sixth grade.
A child must be four (4)
years of age, on or before the first meet of the
season to be eligible to participate (April 19, 2008).
Each team will
participate in one meet per weekend. Meets take place at the
following times:
- Saturday mornings
(10:00am)
- Saturday afternoons
(2:00pm)
Children in Pre-K through 4th grade compete on
220-yard tracks situated in various parks around Amarillo. For
this age group, all races use a relay format, either 4-person or
8-person.
The 5th and 6th graders compete on a regulation
400-meter track. For this age group, there are individual, as well
as relay races involved. There are no field events.
At the conclusion of each race, every participant
receives a ribbon, so no one
ever goes home empty-handed!
The program
fee is $30.
Your program fee includes the following:
-

t-shirt for your child to keep

7 team photo (ask for details)

Communication Is
Critical
If you have not heard
from a coach on or before Monday, April 7, 2008, we recommend that you
contact our office to check on the status of your child's registration
form.
It could be that we do
not have sufficient interest to form a team at your child's school for
his particular grade. There is always a possibility that we could
be facing a shortage of volunteer coaches.
In either case, we ask
parents to maintain communication with our office and do so until your
child has been placed on a team.
Payment
Instructions
Please do not send money to the
school. Once your child has been placed on a team, a coach will
contact you and will ask to collect the program fees from each team
member. The coach will submit the team roster and program fees at
one time.
If you prefer to pay in person, you
may do so after your coach has submitted the team roster. This
way, we will know who your child's coach will be and we will have the
team roster in our office for recording your payment.
