Register Online Today! What is USSSA Softball? USSSA is an acronym that stands for United States Specialty Sports Association. Kids, Incorporated contracts with the Amarillo Softball Umpires Association to officiate each game. Kids, Incorporated also contracts with the Amarillo Scorekeepers Association to keep score during each game. These officials use the USSSA rule book as a guide for league play. Kids, Incorporated also implements a few local rules which are included in the coach's packet. The 2008 Season Registration forms will be delivered to the schools for the 2008 USSSA Softball season on Friday, March 28. Online registration will begin at that time as well. League play for the 2008 season begins May 17, and ends on June 21. USSSA games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The program fee is $43. Your program fee includes the following:
USSSA Age Requirements Kids, Incorporated requires a player to be in the 3rd grade (minimum) to be eligible for USSSA play. Communication Is Critical If you have not heard from a coach on or before Monday, May 5, 2008, we recommend that you contact our office to check on the status of your child's registration form. It could be that we do not have sufficient interest to form a team at your child's school for his particular grade. There is always a possibility that we could be facing a shortage of volunteer coaches. In either case, we ask parents to maintain communication with our office once we reach May 5, 2008, and do so until your child has been placed on a team. Payment Instructions Please do not send money to the school. Once your child has been placed on a team, a coach will contact you and will ask to collect the program fees from each team member. The coach will submit the team roster and program fees at one time. If you prefer to pay in person, you may do so after your coach has submitted the team roster. This way, we will know who your child's coach will be and we will have the team roster in our office for recording your payment. |
