Zach Garza - Dumas
Why Honored: Garza was outstanding during the Demons run to the UIL Class 5A State Championship in 2017. Garza had an unbeaten record of 40-0, winning the Class 5A 152-pound state title.
Garza, a senior captain, also claimed regional and district titles and is a four-time state medalist. He now wrestles at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa.
Quotable: "He has outstanding work ethic. He's not just an outstanding wrestler, but just an overall athlete. He was a great football player as well. He would do anything asked of him. If we would ask him to move up a weight class, he'd do it. He'd be moved all around on the football field. He's smart and he goes above and beyond on everything he does."
