Why Honored: Hamilton and his Randall High Raiders had an excellent season during the 2021/2022 season. The Raiders finished their season 27-9 overall when their season ended with a loss to Lubbock Cooper, 2 games to 1, in the 5A regional quarterfinals. Hamilton and his team went into this series with an 18 game winning streak and snapped Lubbock Cooper's own 24 game winning streak in the first game of the series.
2022/2023 was an even better season for Hamilton and his team. The Randall Raiders progressed through the post season with the most promising run for a state title from any area team. Hamilton and his team won in the regional semifinal round of play before falling to the Stephenville Yellowjackets in the regional finals.
