Jeremy Campbell - Perryton

Why Honored: Campbell won his third Paralympic gold medal in September at the games in London. The 25-year old Perryton native won the discus - F44 event with a throw of 198.5 feet. He also won gold in discus events last year at the Paralympic World Cup and U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Trials. Four years ago in Beijing, he set a world record in the pentathlon - P44 event, and won the gold as well in the discus - F44 division. Campbell was born without a right fibula, and his lower leg was amputated when he was 16 months old.
