Eleanor Archer - Amarillo High
Why Honored: Archer's 2021/2022 season with the Sandies should be described as no less than historic. The junior earned her spot at the UIL state championships once again. The previous season, she earned a gold medal in mixed doubles. This season, she was competing for another medal in girls singles.
Archer would go on to win yet another gold medal, defeating the opponent she had previously lost to in the regional round of play. With this win, Archer became the first player in AISD history to win gold in girls singles and the first female player in UIL history to capture back-to-back gold medals.
As a senior, the 2022/2023 season was another successful one for Archer. She would go on to win her third Class 5A state title when she teamed up with Morgan Rose to win gold in girls doubles. In the fall, Archer helped her team bring home the state 5A team title, going 57-1. In the spring, her overall record was 37-1. In her four years at Amarillo High, Archer is graduating with an overall record of 293-11.
