Johnathon Ortegon - Randall
Why Honored: Ortegon, now three-time state champion, capped off the 2019 season with another appearance at the state tournament.
After suffering tears to both his ACL and MCL the week before the district meet, Ortegon continued to wrestle, using a knee brace with limited mobility and leverage. Despite his injury, he wrestled his way to a district championship title, regional championship title, and a second-place finish at state, falling in overtime to his opponent.
Ortegon now wrestles at the University of Nebraska.
