John Gonzales - Canyon High School
Why Honored: Under the leadership of Gonzales, the Canyon Eagles tennis team made it all the way to the UIL Class 4A state Fall team tennis finals.
Gonzales is in his sixth year with the Eagles, led his team to a 21-4 record, district, and regional championship titles.
2018 marked Canyon's first appearance at the state meet, going in ranked an impressive No. 3.
