Why Honored: A junior, Goodman won her third consecutive 1A state title in dominating fashion. Her 11:11.2 time won 1:15 over the runner-up. Her time would have won through Class 4A, the highest division that runs the same distance as 1A.
Goodman won regionals in 11:06.4, which would have beaten any time from 4A down by at least 30 seconds.
